A couple of months ago, the boys and I were lucky enough to attend a media event at The Jim Henson Company. Among other things, mom bloggers and I watched the filming of an episode of Sid the Science Kid. It was very cool--you might not want to tell your kids but the person who does the movement for the CGI motion capture and the voice of Sid are two different people. It definitely gave me new respect for how much work goes into making each episode. My boys don't think about think about those things, naturally, they just know that they like watching Sid with his microphone. I'm sure they will be thrilled to meet Sid the Science Kid live when I take them to Pretend City Children's Museum on June 11 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for a very special Way to Play Day! (
